As an artist, I am deeply inspired by the life and legacy of Sir Tom Moore, a man whose incredible spirit and unwavering dedication to serving his country and community has touched the hearts of millions around the world. Through his remarkable fundraising efforts for the NHS, Sir Tom showed us what it truly means to be a hero.

 

In creating this drawing of an older Sir Tom Moore, I sought to capture the essence of his indomitable spirit and his deep connection to the history and traditions of his country. The image of Sir Tom in his army uniform, juxtaposed against a background of the landscapes and structures where he served, is a powerful reminder of his lifelong commitment to serving his country and his sacrifices for the greater good.

 

As an artist, I believe it is important to celebrate the lives and accomplishments of those who have positively impacted the world around them. Through this drawing, I hope to honour the memory of Sir Tom Moore and inspire others to follow in his footsteps by embodying the values of service, compassion, and selflessness in their lives.
